Radicalization and Terrorism Seminar, Toronto

Are you a security professional concerned with potential terrorist activity? Do you know what the threat is? Do you know how to recognize the threat? Do you know what to do about it?

If so, this “Radicalization and Terrorism Awareness” seminar is the one-day must-attend security event for you.

Join some of Canada’s experts on terrorism at this interactive session led by Mr. Phil Gurski. He is a recognized expert in violent extremism and radicalization and has written extensively on the subject. Mr. Gurski is a retired senior CSIS analyst, an advisor to Public Safety Canada and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Terrorism Section, who is routinely consulted by the news media.

He will be joined by four individuals who have extensive counter-terrorism experience.

Biographies

Brent Bergeron spent much of his 30 years with the OPP as a physical surveillance specialist where he worked on a number of high-profile terrorist cases. He ended his career developing new counter-terrorism training for the Force.

Pat Crandell spent over 36 years in Military Intelligence. The latter part of his career was focused on the global war on terror where he was directly involved in targeting a terrorist group overseas.

James Bremner has over 25 years experience in law enforcement and has been a SWAT team leader. He has been directly involved with high-profile terrorist-related cases in the Greater Toronto Area. He is currently the President of the Canadian Tactical Officers Association.
